![]() ![]() These are two front-line fighting classes, and by combining them, you get one of the best dual-class combinations in the game. ![]() You get near-perfect synergy between the assault class and the berserker class skills. On top of that, you get mind control immunity and the ability to ignore disabled limbs like nothing happened with Ignore Pain.Īnd I didn’t even mention Ready for Action or Onslaught, which are pretty good assault class skills. You get Close Quarters Evade to boost survivability, Blood Lust to boost speed and damage output and-when combined with Return Fire-often means anyone shooting at an assault/berserker doesn’t live long enough to take a second shot at an assault/berserker. You get Armour Break to make an initial attack much more potent. You get proficiency with melee weapons, pistols, assault rifles, and shotguns. Plus, there are amazing synergies with the Assault and Berserker classes. This build is also call the “Terminator” because it’s all about firing off a machine gun (with bonus accuracy thanks to Strongman) for 1 AP (thanks to Adrenaline Rush) and getting 2 AP refunded with a kill (thanks to Rapid Clearance.) And since the machine gun does massive amounts of damage, it’s pretty easy to get a kill and keep the kill chain going. So let the arguments, I mean discussions, begin …Īssault/Sniper* (w/ Personal Defence + Farsighted + Healer) (Reddit’s upvoting will come in handy here). And I’ll happily debate with people about the merits of their favourite builds-and even move them around in the tier list if you can make a good case for it. ![]() I’ll also post a few comments justifying the placement of some builds. Some builds (assault/sniper, for example) may be really good on lower difficulties and may be really popular because a lot of people play on Veteran, but when playing on Legend or in campaigns where the Corrupted Horizons DLC is activated, some of those awesome-in-Vanilla-Veteran builds may not be as powerful. This list is also based on Legend difficulty, where there are more enemies on the map and longer battles as a result. So if you don’t win the soldier recruitment lottery and don’t get a soldier with the right class and the right random perk, you won’t be able to field any s-tier soldiers. You’ll also notice that every single S-tier build requires a specific random soldier perk. Since random soldiers perks are a huge part of this game, those are included here and are marked as a build followed by an asterisk* (with the required perks listed inside parentheses) whenever a random perk is required to make a build. Or if a particular dual-class combination can be outclassed by a single-class soldier spending 25 SP (half the cost to dual class) to activate one random perk, well, that makes for a Trash-tier build too. And then there are a few builds that are a waste of Skill Points because there is a negative synergy between the two classes (Trash-tier). Of course, some dual class combinations are better than others, and this tier list is about showcasing which builds are incredibly good at what they do (S-tier), which one are powerful and make the most out of the synergies between classes or perks (A-tier), which ones don’t have as many synergies but are still really, really good (B-tier), and which ones are kind of meh-to-mediocre combinations (C-tier). Phoenix Point has 7 different soldier classes available in the game, and the ability to dual class into any one of them gets us 21 different dual-class combinations to explore. I’ll update this tier list based on feedback below and then make a new one to reflect any changes in the HASTUR update once I’ve had a few weeks to explore the forthcoming patch. ![]() There are a lot of old guides out there, but nothing recent or up to date that can help new players. With the next-and final-major update due tomorrow, it’s time to do a tier list for all the dual class combinations in the current version of the game (1.14.5). ![]()
